Tonight, the last thing that Louisa said to me as she was drifting off to sleep:
"Mama, no eat sand. Yucky."

Slideshow
You should really check out this slideshow of
Louisa and Mark Joseph. The photos are all on flickr but the slideshow does a better job of giving you an idea of what it's like hanging out with the two of them.

Shoe Math
So a couple of weeks ago, I ordered a pair of shoes from Zappos. Except, I wasn't really sure if they would fit me or not, so I also ordered a second pair in a different style. Lately I've been craving cute girly shoes. I tend to wear mostly chunky shoes. Partly, that's because I have big feet and it's hard to find sleeker styles that actually fit my feet. So anyway, I ordered two different girly pairs of shoes hoping that one of them would fit. That's the first part of the equation.
Neither of them fit. That's the second part of the equation. I was so disappointed.
Then, about a week later I made a spur-of-the-moment trip to DSW on my lunch break, and this magical thing happened. I found four pair of shoes that I liked, that were totally cute and different from anything I had at home, and from one another, that were all girly, and that all fit. Such a thing has literally never happened to me before. Four pairs of shoes! This is where the math comes in. I added up what all four of the pairs of shoes would cost and realized that the total came to... roughly one dollar more than the two pairs I had ordered from Zappos. Do you see where this is going? Four new pairs of super-cute shoes in my closet, that's where! And sure, it's twice the money I originally intended to spend, but it's four times the shoe. And, like, eight times the cute!
Also, I do have some stories to tell about Ohio but I probably won't get to the tonight. I am going to try to get some of the photos uploaded though.
